I've sat where you're sitting
In 2009, I founded The Modern Connection, one of Charleston, SC’s early social media and digital marketing agencies, back when social media for business was still new territory. I ran it for 11 years and made a clean exit in 2020, finding a home for both my team and clients. I know firsthand what building a business actually costs.
“I call on Ashley, my PSYCH-K® Master, often when I feel like the pressures from running my business are too much. She helps me talk through my fears and problems, and I always walk out clear-headed.”
The problem
When you know better, but still can't seem to move differently.
You set the goal in good faith. And then something older, quieter and considerably faster negotiates it back down to a size it can live with, usually before you've noticed there was a negotiation.
Pick whichever one sounds most like you.
More of what business owners bring to a session →Underneath that
You've probably been calling this perfectionism. It may be something else. As long as it's still in drafts, it can't be ignored, criticized, or quietly flop, so for some people, shipping is the part that registers as the risk. It can feel like diligence right up until you notice the quarter's gone.
When that shifts, sending stops being a decision. You write it, you read it once, and it goes.
Underneath that
You've run the numbers. You know what the work is worth and you know your competitors charge more. So the gap usually isn't information. For some people, receiving more than they're used to can read as exposure, like you'll finally be asked to justify yourself, and the price stays where it feels safe while the hours make up the difference.
When that shifts, you say the number out loud without adding a justification after it.
Underneath that
You've had the hiring conversation with yourself for months. You've made the org chart. And still, delegation can feel less like relief and more like risk. Sometimes what's underneath is that being the one who handles it became load-bearing somewhere along the way, and no strategy will move that while it's still true.
When that shifts, handing something over stops feeling like exposure, and your calendar starts to look like a business instead of a job.
Underneath that
Different offers, different marketing, same number. When the plan keeps changing and the outcome doesn't, it may be worth looking somewhere other than strategy. There's often a number that feels safe, agreed to long before you were consciously choosing it, and quietly protected ever since.
When that shifts, growth stops requiring a fight with yourself first.
Underneath that
You'd rather be underestimated than exposed, and that's usually learned, not chosen. For a lot of people, being visible once came with a bill attached: criticism, expectation, someone's disappointment. So the launches stay quiet, the posts stay rare, and louder people with weaker offers get chosen instead.
When that shifts, being seen stops costing you something. You just do the work where people can find it.
Underneath that
Both things can be true at the same time. You want it, and some part of you may hold evidence that having it isn't safe. Wanting and allowing don't always live in the same place, and until the second one catches up, you can keep building and then quietly reaching for the brake.
When that shifts, wanting it and allowing it finally point the same direction.

Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.

PSYCH-K®
Change the pattern.
Change the experience.
Sometimes you already know what you should do. You know you need to finally launch the business, put yourself out there, make the decision, fire the toxic employee, trust yourself, or finally move forward.
And yet… something keeps getting in the way.
That “something” isn’t always a mindset problem. Often, it’s a subconscious belief or pattern you learned long before you were consciously aware of it.
And here’s the reality: so much of what drives our thoughts, behaviors, and reactions happens beneath conscious awareness. We’ve picked up years of conditioning and exposure that can quietly run the show, despite our best efforts.
This is why affirmations, talk therapy, pep talks, and accountability can be helpful, but sometimes they only take you so far. You can consciously know something needs to change and still find yourself repeating the same pattern. Often, the real work needs to happen at the subconscious level.
PSYCH-K® is the method I use to help you change the subconscious patterns that keep showing up in your business, your decisions, and your life.
It helps bring those patterns to the surface and creates change at the subconscious level, so you’re not just thinking differently. You can actually experience yourself differently.
What clients often describe
More clarity. More trust. More movement.

Nothing about the road changes.
What changes is how far ahead you can see.
The experience
Identify. Shift. Integrate. Move.
One session can be a powerful starting point. We identify what’s actually keeping you stuck, shift the subconscious pattern behind it, and create space for you to move forward differently.
01
Identify
Find what's actually holding you back.
Not the story about it. Not another hour of analyzing why you do what you do.
We get underneath it. Sometimes what we find is a belief. Sometimes it's stress or trauma your brain and body are still carrying. Often, you've been feeling the effect of it without realizing what's driving it.
“I felt a profound shift after my session with Ashley. A stressful situation at work from 7 years ago was guiding my entire career, and after one session, I felt like I could actually sleep at night again. And I got the promotion!”
“After needing emergency surgery, I was in a panic. One session with Ashley followed by a relaxing meditation (my action step), I was calm and relaxed before and after the procedure.”
“Ashley is clear and balanced in her work. She has tremendous capacity to hold the space for me and has helped clear many fears of mine.”
What changes
It rarely feels dramatic. It just stops being hard.
People expect a lightning bolt. What they usually describe is quieter than that: the absence of a fight they had stopped noticing they were having.
“I noticed a profound shift in my perception of the challenges I had been facing with my children, as well as the fear I had been carrying.”
You stop rehearsing.
The conversation you've been running in the shower for a month just happens.
Decisions take minutes.
Not weeks of turning it over looking for certainty that was never coming.
Your work goes where people can see it.
Not louder. Just no longer hidden.
You stop bracing.
This is the one people notice last, and mention first.
About
I'm not here to hand you another plan.
Hi, I’m Ashley. I’ve been an entrepreneur for most of my adult life. In 2020, I made a clean exit from the company I had built over eleven years, finding a good home for both my team and my clients on the way out.
Eleven years of payroll, hiring, pricing, hard conversations, big decisions, and the occasional very bad quarter taught me a lot about building a business. But it also taught me something I didn’t expect:
Success isn’t only strategy.
It’s also the subconscious patterns shaping how you lead, what you’ll charge, who you’ll hire, how you handle pressure, and ultimately, how big you’ll let your business get.
And those patterns don’t stay neatly inside your business. Who you are ripples outward, into your employees and clients, but also your relationships, your family, your friendships, and the life you’re building outside of work.
You are a whole person, not just the person running the business.
And honestly? If I had half the tools and awareness I have today, I’m not sure I would have been clamoring for an exit when I did. That realization is a big part of why I do this work now.
I combine more than a decade of actually running a business with PSYCH-K®, a simple, facilitated process designed to help change the subconscious patterns that can quietly run the show.
You don’t need another plan. You may need to change what’s driving the one you already have.
